On Thursday, September 12 we celebrated the opening of our new headquarters and the debut of several new initiatives. A SeaVees PARTY! (theme based on a 1965 Beach Boys release) was held in our new digs at 118 East Ortega Street in Santa Barbara and was attended by roughly 150 guests.
The big evening marked the official arrival of the SeaVees Fall 2013 collection for men and women. The collection was viewed in The Fitting Room – our new non-traditional retail store that encourages curious consumers to come try SeaVees on for size in an intimate, personal shopping setting. The Fitting Room is open by appointment only Monday-Friday 10am-4pm.
Debuting in a gallery setting at the party was “California Stories volume 2 Ojai,” a photo journal by Santa Barbara photographer Cara Robbins. California Stories is an ongoing film and photography series presented by SeaVees profiling authentic people and their own unique California story. Volume 2 Ojai will remain in The Fitting Room for public viewing until the end of October.
Concluding the evening, we launched our new concert series, Parking Space Sessions, by introducing the Los Angeles band Froth. Froth, newly signed to Lolipop Records, played their set of 1960s inspired garage rock in our parking lot. The Parking Space Sessions venue will host up-and-coming bands and support independent music.
