Our good friends from Huckberry made the trek down the California coast to spend a couple of days with Steven Tiller and the rest of the SeaVees crew for their latest “Behind the Brand” feature. Steven spent countless hours doing what he does best – telling the SeaVees story. Little did Huckberry know that SeaVees was the “Original Way to Go Casual” and it was the story of how a chance encounter in a Tokyo thrift store led to the rebirth of the long-forgotten sneaker brand from 1964. From driving the windy mountain roads in a 1966 Mustang to bocce ball and beers at Santa Barbara’s favorite Arnoldi’s, we enjoyed hosting the Huckberry team and are pretty sure they’ll be back again.
